Gol is a Brazilian airline based in Comandante Lineu Gomes Square, Sao Paulo City, Brazil. According to the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC), between January and December 2009, Gol had 41.37% of the domestic and 13.40% of the international market shares in terms of passengers/km and in relation to the same period in 2008, it increased its share in the domestic market in 14.86% and in the international market it decreased in 44.17%. In June 2010, its shares were of 40.69% for the domestic and 15.21% for the international markets. It owns the brand Varig although the name Varig refers to the informally known ""new"" Varig, founded in 2005 and not to the ""old"" Varig, founded in 1927. Gol operates a growing domestic and international scheduled network. Its main hubs are Sao Paulo's Congonhas Airport, Rio de Janeiro's Galeao International Airport and Brasilia International Airport - Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek. Gol also has focus operations at Belo Horizonte Int'l Airport, Rio de Janeiro's Santos Dumont Airport, Sao Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport and Porto Alegre's Salgado Filho International Airport.
