Ciech chemicals closes books on PLN 320 mln PLN-bonds and EUR 245 mln eurobonds

Listed chemicals firm Ciech has closed the books on PLN 320 mln worth of PLN-denominated bonds priced at up to 500 bps above the 6M WIBOR and on EUR 245 mln worth of EUR-denominated bonds with a fixed-rate of 950 bps, the firm said in a market filing.
The PLN bonds maturing in December 2017 will be issued in two series, one of them enabling redemption ahead of maturity, after 18 or 24 months from the issue date, the filing showed.
The issue will be concluded if investors participating in the book-building commit to go ahead with the purchase, Ciech said.
Concerning the EUR bonds, Ciech has "concluded the offering" of EUR 245 mln worth of papers maturing in 2019. The issue is subject to fulfillment of terms of a purchase agreement signed on November 21 with Credit Suisse Securities and Barclays Bank, the filing also showed.
Ciech launched book-building for some PLN 1.3 bln worth issues in PLN- and EUR-denominated bonds on November 16. Proceeds from the issue will be used to pay off bank debt, Ciech had said.
