Vyksa Steel Works signed loan agreement on $155m syndicated loan

ZAO United Metallurgical Company and the loan arrangers Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG and ZAO Raiffeisenbank have announced that a loan agreement on raising a $155m syndicated loan for OAO Vyksa Steel Works (a part of United Metallurgical Company) was signed on December 28, 2007.

The loan was initially favoured by the market taking into account the fact that the facility was oversubscribed in the initial stage of syndication.

The loan has a five year tenor and pays 165 bp over Libor. The proceeds will be used for refinancing the company’s loan portfolio and funding its investment programmes. The loan will be repaid in 11 quarterly payments, the 1st payment to be made in 2.5 years after signing the loan agreement. The syndicate includes 6 banks alongside with the loan arrangers: RZB Group, BNP Paribas ZAO, ZAO “CALYON RUSBANK”, COMMERZBANK (EURASIJA) SAO, ING Bank N.V., and Societe Generale, BSGV.
