The Ministry of Economy and Finance has announced the official results of the second issue of the BTP Futura (maturity 2028). BTP Futura is the government bond reserved exclusively for the retail savers, dedicated to finance the post-Covid recovery. The Treasury reported the series of final nominal annual coupon rates paid on a half-year basis: 0.35% for the first three years, 0.6% for the next three years, and 1% for the remaining two years of the bond's life. In the five days of placement, 123,717 contracts were concluded for a value of € 5,711.308 million. The issued amount coincides with the total value of the purchase contracts validly concluded at par on the MOT. During the placement period, approximately 58% of the 123,717 contracts were for an amount of less than € 20,000. Contracts of up to € 50,000 amounted to 85% of the total. The average contract size was € 46,164. As for the geographic breakdown, almost all received orders came from domestic investors (approximately 96%).
