The bond market of Armenia is presented by the government and corporate bonds. The structure of Armenia's debt market is well balanced between the internal and external segments with a ratio of 60% to 40% respectively. The auction schedule with information on the dates and planned amounts of treasury bills of the Republic of Armenia is published regularly on the websites of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenia Securities Exchange.
The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia outlines the main areas of the strategic program for the management of the government debt of the Republic of Armenia. The document bearing the same name can be found on the website of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia. The public debt of Armenia consists of the following types of bonds: • RA Treasury short-term bonds (ՀՀ պետական գանձապետական կարճաժամկետ պարտատոմս) – short-term government bonds of the Republic of Armenia with maturity within 12 months, are issued at a discount to nominal value; • RA Government treasury short-term bonds (ՀՀ պետական գանձապետական միջին ժամկետայնության պարտատոմս) are mid-term coupon government bonds of the Republic of Armenia with maturities of 3 and 5 years; • RA Government treasury long-term bond (ՀՀ պետական գանձապետական երկարաժամկետ պարտատոմս) are long-term coupon bonds of the Republic of Armenia with maturities of 10, 20 and 30 years. Armenian government bonds are placed through a public auction at the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX). The bookbuilding is carried out through the investment companies and banks that are members of the Armenia Securities Exchange. |
