CSCI Pengyuan (Full name: CSCI Pengyuan Credit Rating Co., Ltd) is one of the top three credit rating agencies in China. Fully-owned by Chinese capitals and established in 1993, CSCI Pengyuan holds all requisite credit rating-related licenses and qualifications in China. As of 31 December 2024, the company has provided credit ratings for 5,400 issuers and 6,700 bonds, representing a cumulative principal exceeding RMB 7.6 trillion. Beyond its footprints in China, CSCI Pengyuan has been servicing over 6,000 global investors across 27 global markets with credit ratings and research information. In particular, CSCI Pengyuan has been advancing its analytical presense in various global south countries. Also, through its fully-owned Hong Kong subsidiary CSPI Ratings, CSCI Pengyuan has been assigning credit ratings to international bonds (foreign currency denominated) issued by the Chinese government since 2018.
