UTEEM CHAMBERS is a leading Barristers’ Chambers in Mauritius which specialises in Banking and Finance, Securities law, Corporate law, International tax and trusts laws as well as all aspects of offshore business activities. The Chambers was set up in response to the demand for Mauritius-based lawyers with international exposure and expertise in the fields of international trusts, international finance, corporate and cross border insolvency. The chambers is headed by Muhammad Uteem who holds an LLM in international business law, Company law, international finance and trusts law from the University of London and was called to bar at Middle Temple in England after winning the 1st prize at the English Bar exams. Muhammad Uteem was an associate of US firm Winthrop Stimson Putnam & Robert (now Pilsburry Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP) and worked principally in its Hong Kong and Singapore offices.
