Anadolu Group, which was founded by the Yazıcı and Özilhan families in 1950, today operates in 18 countries –including Turkey – from the Atlantic to the Pacific, with 80 companies, 61 production facilities and close to 29 thousand employees. As well as its principal areas of business – the beer, soft drinks, automotive, retail and finance sectors, the Group, which has extended five major areas of activity – the informatics, energy, food, real estate and health sectors – with the investments it has undertaken, continues its healthy growth.
It is realizing all of its structuring and initiatives, which will make its existence perpetual within the globalization process of the 21st Century, in line with its vision of being “the star which connects Anatolia to the world, and the world to Anatolia”, and successfully carrying out its strategies directed at international expansion, entering into joint ventures with multinational companies and forming partnerships.
Anadolu Group, which produces and markets the famous brands, one or more of which we come face to face with on a daily basis, has created the Turkish beer brand Efes Pilsen, which has succeeded in becoming one of the most consumed beer brand in Turkey. With the partnership it has entered into with SABMiller, the second largest beer producer in the world, it has risen to second place in the Russian market. With Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş., it is the 6th largest bottler in the soft drinks sector, in terms of sales volume, in the Coca-Cola system. In the automotive sector it is successfully continuing the partnerships and joint ventures it has entered with the brands Isuzu, KIA, Geely, Lombardini, LS Tractors, Landini, Solis, Gallignani, Honda Power Products, Hitachi and Cooper Tires. With the agreement made with McDonald’s, who have been in the fast food restaurant sector in Turkey for the last 27 years, it has been their licensing company in Turkey since 2005. It operates with the brands Komili, Kırlangıç and Sezai Ömer Madra in the oil sector, Faber-Castell, Adel and Atlas in the stationery sector, Anadolu Bilişim Hizmetleri in the informatics sector, and Efes Tur in the tourism sector. The Group which continues its operations in the finance sector with Abank, Ayatırım and Alease, is also continuing its investments in the energy sector, which it aims to turn into one of its principal lines of business in the future. It aims to reach a fruit tree portfolio of 2,5 million at the end of 2013, with Anadolu Etap, which has reached a portfolio of 1 million fruit trees in the industrial agriculture sector, in 3 years. And with the newly established Anadolu Gayrimenkul company, it is progressing towards becoming an important player in the real estate sector.
Anadolu Group continues its social responsibility activities with sensitivity, in order to make a contribution to the community in the areas of wellbeing and sports, through the Anadolu Vakfı (Foundation), Anadolu Sağlık Merkezi (Health Center) and Anadolu Efes Spor Kulübü (Sports Club).
