It came into being through the integration of two independently operating and successful banking institutions Zivnostenska banka and HVB Bank. Since December 2013, UniCredit Bank in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak Republic provides banking products and services under a single trade name UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s.
UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s. belongs on both markets among the leading financial institutions offering a wide range of quality products to both corporate and private clients. It is one of the markets strongest banks in the area of project, structured and syndicated corporate finance. The bank has also built an extraordinarily strong position in acquisition financing and ranks first in financing commercial real estate.
Among other services, UniCredit Banks clients can utilise services to obtain project financing from the EU structural funds offered through UniCredit Banks European Competence Centre.
In the sphere of services for private clients, UniCredit Bank plays a significant role on the market for private banking, securities, credit cards and mortgages, and it is doing very well in serving clients in the freelance professions (doctors, judges, attorneys-at-law, notaries, and others). The banks Competence Centre for Freelance Professions is devoted to these clients.
