Is Asset Management was established in October 2000 by Isbank to pave the way for “Institutional Asset Management” services to be provided by an independent company. The new company has been established with Isbank’s financial know-how, which dates back to 1924, and the participation of portfolio managers with a proven track record of success in the market. A reliable and efficient structure has been established by fulfilling the requirements of asset management ethics since the day of the Company’s establishment. Isbank’s know-how of mutual funds created the history of Turkish financial markets for mutual funds. Having undertaken the management of Isbank’s 27 mutual funds, Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik’s, Axa Hayat ve Emeklilik’s and Aegon Emeklilik ve Hayat’s pension funds totaling 23 in addition to the institutional investors it manages, Is Asset Management became the leader in its sector. With its dynamic and systematic portfolio management system, which employs the sound use of its own initiative and is always open to new measures, customer priorities are taken as a basis in portfolio management. Is Asset Management has achieved international success since its foundation. One benchmark of the international success that has underpinned Is Asset Management’s respected position was the selection of Turkisfund (SICAV) as the world’s highest yielding fund by Lipper, Reuters’ official institute in October, 2003. Turkisfund (SICAV), is a Luxemburg based umbrella fund which is formed by European standards and managed by Is Asset Management. Is Asset Management manages 17 pension funds for Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik A.Ş.. The firm was founded, when the individual retirement legislation was enacted at the end of 2003. Is Asset Management applied to the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) in December, 2006 to be a corporate member, and its application was subsequently accepted. The first Turkish asset management company to join the EFAMA in 2007 as a corporate member, Is Asset Management has once more proven its asset management vision at global standards.
