United Metallurgical Company (OMK) is one of the major domestic manufacturers of products for energy, transport, and manufacturing companies.

OMK incorporates five large metallurgical plants.

Pipe producing complex of OMK includes Vyksa Steel Works (Nizhniy Novgorod Region) and Almetyevsk Pipe Plant (Republic of Tatarstan);

OMK metallurgical complex also incorporates Chusovskoi Metallurgical Works and Gubakhinsky Coke and Chemical Works (Perm Region), as well as Shchelkovo Metallurgical Works (Moscow Region).

The company employs over 30 thousand people.

OMK manufactures over 20% of all domestic pipe produce, including about 30% in the large diameter sector. It occupies over 60% of the railroad will and car springs market.

In 2004 OMK manufactured around 1mln tons of assorted pipes, as well as over 430 thousand tons of rolled steel and 750 thousand tons of railroad wheels.

OMK Complex includes Vyksa Steel Works and Almetyevsk Pipe Plant. Vyksa Steel Works produces steel pipes (15-1067 mm in diameter, up to 32 mm WT) with two- and three-layer anticorrosive polyethylene and polypropylene coating. Almetyevsk Pipe Plant produces pipes (15-219 mm in diameter) with two-sided anticorrosive coating.
