Is Greece going to pull through?
Greece’s current economic situation is catastrophic, in spite of the fact that the external deficit and the fiscal deficit are improving significantly.
Is it possible to envisage an improvement in the Greek economy in the medium term, once the twin deficits have disappeared?
What sectors could create new jobs?
Are there currently any signs of a recovery or should we, conversely, expect permanent impoverishment and depopulation for Greece as a result of its comparative disadvantages?
The signs of a collapse (investment, GDP, employment) are massive, and despite the sharp improvement in competitiveness and profitability, the signs of an improvement (agribusiness, direct investments, tourism, business services) are very limited.
