RU-UA talks continue; Dec-11 & FY11 industrial production data; Finance minister resigns; liquidity falls
Yesterday, Ukraine President Yanukovych allowed a first, high-profile departure of a minister from the government led by PM Azarov: 63-year-old Minister of Finance Fedir Yaroshenko submitted his application for resignation to the president, citing his personal desire to leave the post. Media have been saying that Mr Yaroshenko was under pressure over the past year of risking losing his post. In just a few hours yesterday, President Yanukovych issued a resolution installing 43-year-old Valeriy Khoroshkovsky as new Minister of Finance.
