As the State Statistics Committee announced yesterday, the volume of construction works went up 6.8% YoY in 1Q11, continuing the dynamic recovery of Ukraine\'s construction sector that had started in 2H10. In both January and February, construction works grew 6.1% in volume. The cargo turnover volume for construction materials, up 51% in 1Q11, was another indicator showing a resurgence in the construction sector. As we reported earlier, the volume of fixed investments in 2010 was still 0.6% lower YoY, which shows its positive dynamics compared with the previous year, when this volume fell 41.5% YoY.
