The federal budget was executed with a deficit of RUB 877 bln in April, compared with a deficit of RUB 964 bln over the same period last year. Budget revenues totaled RUB 3.0 trln, while expenditures stood at RUB 3.8 trln. The accumulated deficit grew to RUB 1.5 trln vs. RUB 0.6 trln in March, but remained well below the level in April of last year (RUB 3.0 bln).
By the end of 2024, we expect the budget deficit to contract to RUB 2.3 trln from RUB 3.2 trln recorded at the end of last year.
