Daily Insight-In the news: Preliminary GDP growth figures released, agrinews, Bank Credit Agricole new issue
Yesterday, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov made an announcement on full-year real GDP growth in the economy. According to him, preliminary estimates by the state statistical office came in at 4.1% YoY. A couple of days ago, the central bank said that according to its own estimates, the economy grew 4.5% YoY in 2010. By comparison, our forecast for 2010\'s real GDP growth was 4.3% YoY. While Azarov made public the figure that the official statistical office will announce via its website, the reading is a preliminary one, and given the quite strong December statistical data for industrial production and household demand, is likely subject to an upward revision, in our view.
