Daily Insight-Ukraine places US$2bn of Eurobonds, with demand reaching record highs
The government of Ukraine on Friday placed 5-year, US$500m Eurobonds at a 6.875% yield, and 10-year, US$1.5bn notes at 7.775%. In total, the placement attracted over US$6.2bn of overall demand, according to Prime Minister Azarov. Additionally, the books for the 5-year bonds were 2x oversubscribed, and the 10-year notes 4x oversubscribed, according to a report from Debtwire, citing a source close to the situation. Fitch assigned \"B\" ratings to both Eurobond issues.
