Minera y Metalurgica del Boleo (MMB), a subsidiary of Vancouver-based Baja Mining, is engaged in mining and processing of cobalt and copper. It is currently developing the Boleo copper-cobalt-zinc project in Mexico's Baja California Sur state. Average annual output over the initial 23-year mine life is slated at 38,100t copper, 1,600t cobalt and 29,500t zinc. A South Korean consortium led by state-owned firm Kores and including LS-Nikko Copper, Hyundai Hysco, SK Networks and Iljin Materials, currently holds the remaining 30% of Boleo. MMB is based in Mexico City, Mexico.
