Cadent Gas Ltd. is a gas distribution company in the UK. It was formed in October 2016 as part of National Grid plc as National Grid Gas Distribution Limited. National Grid sold a majority stake in the business to a consortium including Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and the Qatar Investment Authority on 31 March 2017. Cadent is Britain's largest gas network and maintains 131,000 kilometres of pipes supplying 11 million homes and businesses in the North West, Midlands, East and South East of England.
