The Bank of England claimed there is no need to control the yield curve

Currently, the central bank is looking for new ways to support the economy while the interest rates stay near zero, and there is a lack of effectiveness of the bond-buying program. 

Although the bank has discussed the yield curve control, Governor Andrew Bailey said he didn't see a reason to implement it now. However, the bank is discussing the possibility of negative interest rates.
