Nordea: Finland's exports surprise in August

August goods exports offered a big positive surprise in Finland as export volume was the highest since January 2011 – imports of goods have mostly declined this year. It appears that Q3 net exports were positive and contrary to our expectations boosted economic growth. This suggests that GDP probably did not fall in Q3, unlike we expected in our September forecast. |
