On Tuesday, longer-term US Treasury yields increased as Mr. Trump accepted Joe Biden’s transition into the White House. General Services Administration chief Emily Murphy informed Mr. Biden in a letter that the administration of Trump would make federal resources available for the transition.
On Monday, the new President-elect said he would appoint former Fed Chair Janet Yellen as Treasury Secretary. She may become the first woman to lead the department if confirmed by the Senate.
