The maintainer of Estonian Central Register of Securities is Estonian CSD (ECSD). Estonian CSD is a public limited company, which was established in 1994 and operates under the name "AS Eesti Vaartpaberikeskus". The 100% owner of Estonian CSD is Tallinn Stock Exchange. Both public limited companies belong to an international concern NASDAQ OMX . Estonian CSD operates pursuant to Estonian Central Register of Securities Act empowered by the state, represented by the Ministry of Finance according to the signed Registrar Contract. The Estonian Central Register of Securities is one of the main registers of the state and therefore Estonian CSD performs public duties pursuant to Estonian Central Register of Securities Act and Registrar Contract.
